About the Artist

Priscilla Bunn has always been an avid artist. Growing up, watching her mother draw pictures while helping the kids with there homework was an inspiration. In grade school, Priscilla's drawings of models in long flowing gowns were always a popular item. It never to ceased to amaze her when the Drawings that she would make and throw away were now being requested by the other girls in her classes as keepsakes. Being from a family of talented people, she just assumed everyone could draw and paint like she could. So for years the talent laid dormant. Raising a family was the priority of the day. However, the talent, the gift from God, could not be ignored forever. As the family grew up she had more and more time available to pursue her "hobby". It started out making nic nacs for the Christmas tree, painting and making lamps and fire place screens and decorations for home and church. Soon however, only the walls were big enough to hold her creations. The more she painted, the more that friends, and soon friends of friends were requesting her to work her magic in their homes. In 2001, with the support and help of her family, she started Designs by Pris. Since that time she has painted in countless homes and businesses in the Triad area of North Carolina and as far away as Atlanta. She has also sold a number of paintings, primarily landscapes, lighthouses and golf scenes. Priscilla has adopted as her signature trademark the single rose. This is a spiritual reference to the Rose of Sharon. So, in all of her works, "Look for the Rose".
